Pledge Manager Update

Hello Friends!

We wanted to give an update on a few things and show you some images and video of progress on some of the Add-ons, but first lets get to the Pledge Manager Update.

We're very close to launching the Backerkit Pledge Manager. We completed the integration with Shipstation and Backerkit. Now with that done, all that is left to do is do some internal testing of the various pledge levels, freebies, shiping, etc and then we will be ready to launch the smoke test. The great news is even with this delay, we still will be fulfilling this Kickstarter many months ahead of schedule.

Once these last few items are squared away we'll launch a "smoke test" which will send out links to 5% of the backers to make sure everything is working as planned. Once that checks out, the rest of the backers will get links to their Backerkit Pledge Manager as well.

We'll post an update a few days in advance to give you a heads up before we launch each of those phases.

Card Playmats Printed & Shipped

Great news! The Soltera Card Playmats are finished and currently in route to our offices. Having seen it in person already, I know you guys will love them. The quality is top notch and print image looks stunning!

Below is a short video the manufacturer sent us before shipping them out.

Dice Dice Baby

Leah from Green Leaf Geek sent us a photo of some of the Black & Silver dice sets that we wanted to share with you (below). She's been working on the other sets as well and we'll provide you guys some more photos once we have them.

That's all we have as far as updates for now. We'll continue to provide updates as usual when we have some important news to share. Be on the lookout for the next update when we will announce the Backerkit smoke test.

Hey Kickstarter Fam!

We hope your year is off to an amazing start and that sunshine is finding its way to your corner of the world. ☀️

Exciting news: we're on the brink of wrapping up all the illustrations for our decks – Aces, Face Cards, and Jokers. Yay! We re quite proud of the artistry and creativity pouring into this cards and we really hope you are loving them!

And guess what? We've got a few more breathtaking card art illustrations to unveil! Without further ado, let's dive right in and feast our eyes on these beauties! 🎨✨

Introducing the Thalacore

A little history lesson on the lore of the Thalacore (pronounced THA-luh-kor), the enigmatic Merfolk of our realm.

These aquatic beings are as captivating as they are mysterious. While they possess the remarkable ability to function both in and out of water, their time on land is limited. As they emerge from the depths, their skin takes on a shimmering bronze hue, a testament to their connection with both sea and land.

However, there's a catch. The longer they linger away from their watery home, their skin begins to develop a patina, a telltale sign that their time on land is drawing to a close. If they remain too long, their bodies undergo a transformation, turning rigid like bronze statues, entering a hibernated state until they can be returned to the nurturing embrace of the ocean depths.

This dichotomy is beautifully depicted in our illustrations, where you'll witness the Thalacore in both forms – with and without legs, symbolizing their dual existence between two worlds.

We hope these illustrations help you delve deeper into the captivating lore of the Thalacore, where every card tells a story of resilience, adaptability, and the unbreakable bond between land and sea.

Backerkit Update

We're so close to hitting the launch button on our Backerkit survey – it's almost ready to roll! 🚀 But, like any good adventure, we've hit a couple of bumps along the way. Right now, we're ironing out the kinks in connecting it to our ShipStation account. ShipStation is our trusty software sidekick, helping us calculate the best shipping costs for you and will be used to whip up those labels for your deliveries once fulfillment starts.

We're in touch with the helpful folks over at customer support, and as soon as we've got everything squared away, you'll be the first to know. 🛠️

Now, here's the game plan: The survey's first phase will kick off with a 'smoke test.' This means we'll send out surveys to a small group of you to double-check that everything's running smoothly. Once we've given it the thumbs up, the rest of the surveys will be on their way to your inboxes.

We're with you every step of the way. Expect regular updates as we journey through this process together. Your support means the world to us!

Hello Friends!

Hope you all are staying warm and out of the harsh weather going around. We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland of several inches of snow.

Well lets get right to it! I'm proud to announce that we've completed all of the illustrations for all of the Ace, Face Cards, and Joker cards for Deck #3. We just need to get the number cards laid out and ready for printing, which we'll start once all of the illustrations for Deck #4 have been completed.

Backerkit Surveys

We are hoping to have the Backerkit surveys ready by the end of the month. For those of you not familiar with Kickstarter/Backerkit, in those surveys you'll confirm your order, update your shipping information, and have the ability to add any new items that you want from the Kickstarter. This is also where you will choose which decks you want or and other options (dice, Book deck designs, etc). We'll send out updates here and also through your email address.

Early Fulfillment

We don't want to jinx it, but as things are progressing, we are expecting to start fulfillment early summer of 2024, well ahead of our Dec 2024 projection. So that's great news! Keep your eye out for more updates here and in your email inbox!

Card Playmats and Dice Ordered!

Card Playmat Ordered

Hello Friends!

We hope this note finds you well. We wanted to update you on a few things. First, we sent the final version of the Soltera Card Playmat to the printers this week (pictured below), so we'll continue to provide updates on this as they develop.

If you didn't get a chance to order a Soltera Card Playmat during the campaign, don't worry! Once the BackerKit Pledge Manger opens up next month you'll be able to add as many playmats to your order as you like. These are going to look stunning on your card table!

Dice Ordered

We placed an initial dice order with Leah from Green Leaf Geeks to get the process going, as crafting handmade custom dice is a lengthy process so we want to make sure we get a head start on getting these produced.

Unfortunately, we sold out of these during the campaign, but if there is a strong enough interest from you we will look into having more made and available on our website to purchase once we complete the fulfillment of the Kickstarter campaign.

If you were among the lucky ones that did manage to order some dice, you'll be able to pick which dice designs you want in the Backerkit Pledge Manager once that is available. We'll also get some more photos of them to help you make your decision.

Elderwood Academy Card Boxes

We started the prep work with the good folks over at Elderwood Academy. We'll be providing them with the final laser work designs for the Treasure Chest Boxes soon, and once we have a good handle on the number of each design type needed for the Book Boxes, they'll get started on those as well.
